Evan Shore Quartz Banger Review

The Evan Shore Banger (sometimes known as an ESB for short) is one of the higher-end bangers available.  It is made with American quartz (no china shizz) and made in the US by Evan Shore (obviously.. :p).

The one I decided to buy and try was a 14mm male standard bucket.  He has XLs available now as well, but I wanted to review the regular one first.

Airflow

It looks and feels like it was constructed very well - the weld and neck size allow for very good airflow, basically there is no constriction like you would find with cheaper import bangers.  The connection where the bucket and neck are welded is not melted in to where it would close up the hole, it is like it is all one piece of solid quartz.  So as far as airflow goes, i'd say its just about perfect!

Bucket

The good thing about the bucket is that the neck hole is nice and far up so it is harder for dabs that are vaporizing in the bottom to get sucked through the neck and wasted.  However my issue with the bucket is that it is a little too skinny, making it tough to get a dab to the bottom without rubbing against the rim and wasting some.  This was a big problem for me when testing it and it will make my rating of this quartz banger go down a lot.  I'm sure the XL model would solve this, but for the standard model it is a big issue.  When trying to fit a big dab in there it would hit the rim and then drip over the sides.  Bleh.

Heat Retention

I was able to get a good low-temp dab after a 35 second wait after heating it until it was red.  This was after testing a few different temperatures.  IT does seem to cool a little faster than i was used to, but not too bad.  Still a pretty decent heat base, you just need to make sure you have a good carb cap so that you aren't left with a puddle.

Taste

No foul taste that is common with an import banger - just pure concentrate (shatter in my case)  :P

Overall

I would rate the Evan Shore Quartz Banger 8 / 10, losing points for the tight bucket.  Other than that I would recommend it if you are in the market for a banger and don't want to shell out $165 for a QCB.

If you have any opinions or questions on this banger please leave a comment and I will get back to you!  Peace
